This program is a definite must for anyone who uses a computer. Period.
TypeItIn |
It has different groups in which you can create programmable buttons. When you click on the button, it does whatever it's programmed to do in the currently opened window. It's very helpful for when you always have the same text to type over and over again, or the same functions to do repeatedly.
In the image on the left, you'll notice that the group name is displayed at the top "Examples" in this case. Each of the rectangular sections below it is a different button. For ease of use, buttons can be created with different background and text colors.
In the two images below, the context menu which appears upon right clicking the group name and right clicking a button is displayed.

When the application is running and is the active window, you can set it to display normally:
When it is in active, you can set it to be transparent:
When it is taking up too much space, you can Roll-up the window:
Here's an example of how this little program can save.

Case: Right now I'm in India and when I visit the cyber cafe, I need to set the IP address of the laptop in order to be able to use the computer. When I'm at home, I need to set the IP address to the "Sify" specifications. When I'm at the office, I don't need to have any IP specified.
So I created a button for the cyber cafe's IP address, called "Cafe IP" and created a button for the home IP address, called "Sify wired IP" (because I think connecting wirelessly requires a *different* IP). Below, I just show the "Cafe IP" button.
To change the IP address, in this example, I open up the Local Area Connection Status window > Properties > Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties.
IP address Properties (opened the normal way) -- right now the cafe IP information is entered. |
Then I click on the "Obtain an IP/DNS server address automatically" radio buttons to clear the previous information.
Then I click on "Use the following IP/DNS server address(es)" radio buttons to be able to enter the new IP info (which is stored in the button).
With the proper placement of the cursor in the IP Properties window, and a click of the "Sify wired IP" button, all the details are entered within 1 second.
And it's as easy as that!!
No memorizing was necessary. No opening an image with the saved information. No opening a text file with the information. No typing. No copy / pasting. Nothing.
Just a click and all the information was entered.
You can get the program from http://www.wavget.com/typeitin.html (trial version) and see how well it works for you.
If you've got any questions of how I use it, comment below, and if you have a particular problem with the program, you can use the forums, where the developer answers any and all queries, giving specific codes/workarounds for your situation.
