First Plunder -- RaamaayaN Chaupai Tune (My Way)

Hi all,

In the quest to find a good audio hosting site where I can upload recorded songs, I found the Plunder site.

Here is the first upload (of many, hopefully) -- the famous "RaamaayaN Chaupai Tune" | रामायण चौपाई त्यून.

This was composed in 2008, played on the Dean Razorback Explosion (pictured above).

It was recorded using Adobe Audition with the amplifier plugged directly into the computer's sound card.   The tabla and drums were both programmed using Reason 3.0.  The rhythm of the fast heavy part of the song is based on the gallop technique made famous by Iron Maiden.

The first version of this song was actually recorded on the DigiTech Jam Man.  I thought it was pretty cool sounding so I went all out to record it.  I'm satisfied with the outcome, though, like anything which you create, you feel like there are some things that can be fixed to bring it closer to perfection.  Then, on the other hand, there are certain artificial harmonics in it which I know, no matter how hard I try, I wouldn't be able to recreate them the same way.

P.P.S - I'm not able to get the streaming object embedded into the blog post.  I'll keep trying different methods and see what works.
